    1. 1. Who I am ........... Bandhula Ekanayake Chief Executive Officer BMICH Convention & Exhibition Centre, Sri Lanka  Married and having two children  Born in Central Province (Kandy) and residing in Western Province (Colombo)

Climbing the ladder to achieve ...  Hotelier by profession and had higher education in Netherlands , Switzerland and Germany.  General Manager of a Beach Resort in Sri Lanka  Commissioning and managing first theme Resort in Sri Lanka  CEO at the Convention and Exhibition Centre of Sri Lanka .  Had the rare experience in organising and managing the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting CHOGM 2013, with 56 world leaders in attendance.

Dear Bandhula On behalf of my colleagues in the Conference Section, I first wish to place on record our sincere appreciation for the tremendous job you did to transform the BMIC H compound into a site worthy of the high-level CHOGM 2013.  As we watched you weave your magic in the few days before CHOGM commenced, we were stuck not only by your professionalism and expertise but also by your care and attention to the smallest detail. We wish to thank you and your team once again not only for the excellent logistics but also for taking such very good care of us. The New Look BMICH Convention and Exhibition Centre  An out right gift from the people of the People’s Republic of China to the government and people of Sri Lanka in 1973.  The first purpose built conference centre in Asia Completed 40 years and reopen with a new look in year 2013.  Consist of main auditorium, six committee rooms, banquet hall, cinema and exhibition centre
