@Erik, see notes on slide 4. LotusLive delivers the same tools (except Quickr). The functionality is the same, only LotusLive is aimed at working with people in your network, OUTSIDE the corporate firewall. So the story remains the same.
This presentation shows the collaboration tools we deliver. Looking at LotusLive – Same capabilities. (Lotus Live Engage has Activities and Files. There is also Connections in LotusLive). No Quickr. The aim of LotusLive is to collaborate, not only within an enterprise, but also to collaborate beyond "the firewall" Think as IBM-er: you can use all tools internally, but as soon as you want to share with customers and partners, you can not breach the "Chinese" wall. This is where LotusLive offers the same functionality, where everyone has access.
Keyword : Formal Collaboration and Document Management Work with documents, share versions, use workflow Domino Document Manager (aka Domino.Doc) functionality will end up into Quickr Possible document / content creation can be “send” into document life cyle in an Enterprise Content Management environment (ECM) Quickr is more then just the document library, other collaboration components can be added to the project place. Not document is central focal point, but Project or Activity is important and document are created from that project.
Keyword : Personal File Share Store your own documents and share those with your peers. When you find an expert in Connections, you can see also what files he produces. You can create collections to group your documents and share those documents. Another option is to add documents you found of other people to add those to your collection. So a collections is a group of your and documents of others. You can keep documents private, read only or give others the option to replace your document. Replace the shared drive. Get the “dust” out of there. Effective sharing of documents This functionality is also available in LotusLive, but then the focus is on collaborating without the boundaries of a firewall and on collaborating with partners / customers outside the company.
Keyword : Activityware – Activity is central, not the documents Activity is the place to share information that is needed to fulfill the goal of the activity. The data is linked or copied into the activity, but when activity is done, the documents will reside in original source, e.g. Chat transcript, e-mails can be shared, Without giving security access rights to you mail file. Original mail remains in mailbox. Why not Quickr. Quickr is formal, role based, tight security and document management features. Activities is ad-hoc collaboration, using blueprint/roadmap/ guided procedure to follow steps to get activity done. This functionality is also available in LotusLive, but then the focus is on collaborating without the boundaries of a firewall and on collaborating with partners / customers outside the company.
Keyword : Ad-Hoc Collaboration Work together on ad-hoc base. Start Activity by using a template (like a blueprint).
Add mails, Chats to activities Find related activities Create and modify activity entries from Lotus Notes Side bar
Keyword : web 2.0, online collaboration, NO documents Wiki is tool to collaborate on one piece of “text” with a group of people Wiki´s are found on the Wiki page. From Lotus Communities it is possible to have a link for to a Community Wiki. Everything is online the wiki does not generate documents, thus no longer contributing to the document management issues.
Keyword : web 2.0, online collaboration Blog is quite similar to wiki. The big difference is that people don´t work together in one piece of text, but posting entries that fill the blog. In Connections you have the personal blog and you can have a community blog. Everything is online the bllog does not generate documents, thus no longer contributing to the document management issues. A blog is less focussed on generating content together then a wiki, but focuses more on generating and sharing ideas.
The text on the card is editable so you can click on the slide and enter your own contact information.
