Summary: This use case narrates how to acquire clearance from your respective barangay or village.
Actors:
1) The Citizen/applicant – requests for barangay clearance.
2) Barangay staff–process the request.
3) Barangay Captain/Chairman – grants the request for barangay clearance.
4) Barangay’s Transaction Operating System – process the transaction

Flow of Events
PRECONDITIONS:
1. Barangay staff/police is recognized and has license to perform and process requested forms and
papers.
2. The citizen must bring all the required materials needed in applying for a clearance request.
3. The office of the barangay must accept citizens’ concerns.
MAINSUCCESSSCENARIO:
1. Citizen approached the office of the barangay
2. Fall in line and wait for your turn
3. Staff/secretary checks if the applicant is a citizen of that barangay
4. Staff/secretary will give the citizen a form of information to fill up
5. The Applicant must input/write complete information about himself/herself
6. Tha applicant will show his/her Identification Card
7. The secretary/staff will send the form to the barangay chairman or any higher ranking officer
8. The applicant pays for barangay clearance fees
9. The barangay chairman signs the application
10. Chairman grants the request upon payment
11. The form proceeds to TPS for processing
12. The form is printed and ready for release
13. Secretary gives the clearance to the applicant
14. Use-case end
ALTERNATIVE SEQUENCE:
A1The applicant did not approach the barangay hall personally
1. The applicant asks someone to request clearance for him/her.
A4
2. The information form lacks information
3. The secretary notifies the proxy that the transaction will not be processed.
4. The proxy texted the original applicant for his/her personal information.
5. The proxy already have the applicant’s information
6. Use-case proceeds to step 4 of Main Success Scenario
ERROR SEQUENCE:
E3 Applicant do not live at that barangay
1. The applicant is not a citizen of the barangay he approached
2. The barangay captain did not allow or grant the request
3. Use-case ends.
E8 Applicant forgot to bring money for payment
1. The transaction is not processed
2. Applicant is adviced to come back again with money at hand.
3. Use-case end.
