  • caring for the environment is not a voluntary act or an assigned task of a select few. It is everyone’s responsibility, and a moral obligation.
  • To start OC2, we students formed an environmental alliance which will spearhead student-led environmental efforts and fulfill OC2’s mission of 3 A’s -raising environmental awareness, inspiring appreciation of nature, and moving to action students, teachers, and administrators in commemoration of the UP centennial.
  • My latest project – creation of a UP-based environmental organization that is nationalist, holistic, multidisciplinary, action-oriented, servant-leader and peace-building – that will bring a fresh, whole-new perspective on environmental activism. We have started our first meetings this August 2008, and approximately 40 students have already signed up! A good start indeed!
