    • Global Warming is when the Earth’s temperature rises.
  • 3. Causes Of Global Warming
    • Using gasoline
    • Using coal and oil for heat
    • Burning fossil fuel to make electricity
    • These create greenhouse gases that seep into the atmosphere and, like the panes in a greenhouse, trap heat that would ordinarily escape into outer space.

    • Artic habitat may be melting
    • Changing weather patterns
    • Shift of ocean currents
    • Melting glaciers
    • Sea level is rising
    • People are threatened by flooding
    • Drought

    • Not use coal or oil

    • Pollution is when the environment has harmful or poisonous things in it.

    • Kills animals, plants, and people
    • Water becomes polluted and we cannot drink it
    • Animals lose homes when land is polluted
    • Less goods are produced

    • Bicycling more
    • Riding in cars less
    • Not dumping oil
    • Not dumping household cleaners down the drain
