Brief History <ul><li>Some say that the first snowboard was a toy called the “Snurfer” in 1965 </li></ul><ul><li>It was not until the 70’s and 80’s that snowboarding stared to become popular </li></ul><ul><li>In 1985 it gained official sport status, and it has snowballed ever since with events like the U.S. Open, the Winter X Games, and the Winter Olympics </li></ul>
