    • A densely populated slum located in Port-au-Prince, the Capitol of Haiti.
    •   300,000 residents living in extreme poverty in 9 square miles.
    •   No sewers, no stores, no electricity or running water

    • Educational programs for over 10,000 children from pre-school to young adults
    • Focused on literacy and vocational training to sustain their future
    • School programs include a daily meal and basic medical needs (vaccinations and vitamins)
    Before The Earthquake

    • A child dies of hunger every hour, in Haiti, and in the northern regions, where there is little or no farming, the figure rises to 29 deaths a day.
    • In some regions of Haiti, almost 50% of children lack proper nutrition, and many suffer physical and mental problems as a consequence.
