    1. Media Film Opening Presentation
      Presented By:
      Mark Stone,
      Gemma Hart
      and Thomas Jackson
    2. Short Film Opening Brief
      Brief of our film opening:
      • Teen Horror, thrilling adventure.
      • Teens break into abandoned building.
      • And find out its not as abandoned as they think it is.
      • It soon turns dire.
    3. Examples of the Horror Genre
      • Similar films include Se7en, Saw 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, Hostel 1 and 2, I know who killed me and Halloween etc.
      • Stereotypical related items: Blood, Shadows, Gore, Knives, Death, Religion, Derelict Buildings and Razor Blades.
    4. Our Target Audience
We our aiming our film at 15 – 24 year olds, we are choosing this age range as they have a lot of disposable income and because this genre is particularly popular with the age range. We also found that people with disposable incomes are more likely to spend money on things like the cinema and the film when It actually comes out.
We also chose this age range as when we were researching into other Horror films the biggest audience was 15 – 24 year old.
    5. Cast
Gemma Hart – from the film ‘Hollow,’ ‘Hollow the Vengeance’ and ‘Hollow 3,’ Written and directed by Harris skilfulfilm, this disturbing, nail biting horror was a spectacular hit with the age range we have suggested.
Mark Stone – from the film ‘Extraordinary,’ Written by Dean Excellentmovie, this disturbing sequel to ‘The Ordinary’ illustrates gruesome and sickening violence, this proves to be a hit with males from the age 15 – 30.
Thomas Jackson – from the film ‘For Show Only,’ Written by Jake Greatpictures, this unsettling, toe curling, cold blooded murder was a big hit with our age range.
    6. Crew
On our set we will have many different crew members.
The Director, The tea & biscuit boy (Mark Stone) and The Editor.
We will also have a makeup artist.
In ‘The Exorcist’ they used a lot of make up for the little girls face.
They also would have used contact lenses to make the girl have green/yellow eyes.
    7. Props
      Props: for our props we will use a number of different things;
      • Nails and screws,
      • Needles,
      • Wheelchairs and
      • Religious symbols
      • We may also use other props that add noise, e.g. A metronome.
    8. Locations and Costumes
Locations: for our location we are going to an abandoned building.
We will add a few things to the building that we believe are the classic ‘horror’ genre items.
Costumes: for our costumes we will be using old clothes for the ‘killer’ and modern clothes for the teens.
    9. Post Production
Post Production we will be editing our video and maybe adding sound effects.
Editing: in our editing we will be cutting shots and doing re-shots until our video aligns well.
Sound: for our sound effects we are thinking about adding screeching noises. The typical ‘Horror Genre,’ sounds.
    10. Distribution
      • We are launching our film through the FDM (Film Distributors Association)
      • We are going to get investments from other major film companies like ‘20th century fox’ etc before we release the film.
      • We are also going to make little action figure merchandise.
      • We will release some masks for certain holidays like ‘Halloween,’ or just fancy dress parties.
    11. Marketing
      • We will market our film through the mass media:
      Television Adverts
      Radio Adverts
      Billboards
      Internet Adverts
      Newspaper
      • After Marketing:
We are going to go to Thorpe Park and create our own ride like the ‘Saw ‘ ride.
