2. Landscape Photography
Description – It is intended to show different spaces within the world.
This photography can be used by amateurs and professionals.Can be
used as a powerful way of presenting natural landscape and to capture
its beauty and detail, it is similar to a piece of art. Photographers tend

The first image is taken by a Landscape photographer called Art Wolfe he takes photos
such as fine arts print, stock photography nature and cultural landscape, he is an
International renowed photographer who does photography workshops which is more
complex. The image that I have gathered is a cultural photo, and comparing the other
image who is taken by Damien Shields his photography is more basic, and captures the
images of Scotland’s finest beauty of landscapes.
3. Fashion Photography
Description – Photographs of advertising in a fashionable way
an art form. Display products in a relation to fashion and sell
there label a good fashion brand example for this would be
Vogue. As it shows the different attitude in clothing and
style, and the technology and its competition

This is a front page magazine photo of Vogue in the
1960’s as you can see the magazine is just plain and
simple with few colors, The magazine now has more
colors in the year 2012 as the media industry has 1960 2012
changed its impact and vision in capturing beaty by
showing more clevage than before. It also covers
more description on the selling points of the
magazine and is more detailed by the layout.
4. Advertising Photography
Description – Taking photos of products and promote, they
are used for to make us buy a product that they are
selling, which makes us part of something that we must
have. Its uses of products can be perfume, shoes etc.. They
can be found on billboards, TV ads.

The Heinz advert has changed over time in its Old Advert
period as the old advert is simple by just an
image of the Heinz tomato ketchup bottle and
writing, but the latest advert is more creative
as they have edited and made the bottle into a
tomato to create an imagery effect to catch
more attention to viewers for you look directly
into how photograph, they have also added
more colours for improvement compared to

5. Portrait Photography
Description – A photograph of a person or a group of people that
display expression of the subject. These photography uses can be
found on school photos, the streets, passport photos, and

Portrait Photography (Comparison)
Yousef Karsh photography was one of the
masters in the 20th century his photos are
portrait of legendary people who has made
histories. Tony Duran's images are of celebrity
photography or models. Both of the
photographers take their photos black and
white to create an effect, each photographers
have their own category on what type of
photos they take.

6. Macro Photography
Description – Extreme close up of small subjects taking photos
that the human eye cant capture. Typically used in nature
shots to capture its detail by the depth of field which allows
the image to be focused.

The two images that I have here are photos of Steve Holmes and
Paul Hamilton, both of the images are macro photography based
which is they are categorized to be, both of the images are
similar by the way they both focus on the insect and blur out the
background, I have also researched their other photos and they
are either images of plants, objects, and insects.
7. Photo Journalism
Description – Tells a story of a person which creates an order that
interoperates this is what makes a good piece of news material. Its
uses are mainly focused on newspapers.

These images are photographers of Robert Capa on the right his images are photo journalism
based on wars and Kevin Carter in the Hungarian combat, the images show lifestyle of what
they do and what is happening the photo annotates and capture the viewers attention on
every image which catches there eye. This photo appears to be a soldier being trained. The
next photo is by Kevin Carter his images are to do with the South African lifestyle of children
suffering, the images are shocking and horrific as you can tell by this photo that I have
gathered. His photography reflects to the audience for them to realize what is happening in
that country, he does this by taking shocking images as part of a journalist.
