On April 30th and May 1st, 12 friends will be running a relay, 200 miles from Calistoga to Davenport. We're raising money for Organs R Us, a non profit organization that is doing great work getting people signed up as organ donors. Please consider donating to my team, #141 - Silence of the Vans.

  • This is what was different about my family – my dad was diabetic, so insulin and needles were a daily reminder that my dad was sick.
  • About this time, my dad’s kidney’s began to fail and he went onto the organ transplant waitlist and onto dialysis.
  • Here’s the sad numbers – there are over 108,000 people nationally that are on the organ transplant waitlist. 20% are from California Approximately 111 people are added daily to the waitlist 18 people die each day on the waitlist My dad is one of the statistics, he died on December 6, 1996 while on the organ transplant waitlist for a kidney.
