  • 3. 1) Rain- Made up of liquid- Falls if temperature isabove 0⁰c.- Most common kind ofprecipitation.
  • 4. 2) Snow- Made up of icecrystals.- Caused when airtemperature is so coldthat the vapor changesdirectly to ice.
  • 5. 3) Sleet- Made up of frozen rain.- Cause when rain fallsthrough a layer offreezing cold air.- Rain turns to ice pellets
  • 6. 4) Hail- Round pieces of ice.1)Rain freezes.2) Falls to a warmer part of airwhere vapor condenses on it,then it goes up to a cold partof air where the vapor freezesforming another layer of ice.
