  2. 2. What are landforms? Landforms are the natural shapes or features on earth’s surface. There are many different types of landforms found on the earth.
  3. 3. Different Landforms
  4. 4. 1) Mountain A mountain is a place on Earth’s surface that is much higher than the land around it.
  5. 5. 2) Hill Smaller than mountains.
  6. 6. 3) Valley A valley is a low area between higher lands such as mountains.
  7. 7. 4) Canyon A canyon is deep valley with high, steep sides.
  8. 8. 5) Cliff A cliff is high land made of rocks and soil.
  9. 9. 6) Plain A plain is a flat area on Earth’s surface.
  10. 10. 7) Plateau A plateau is a flat area higher than the land around it.
  11. 11. 8) Desert A desert is a hot dry place with little or no rain.
  12. 12. 9) Beach A beach is the land along a body of water.
  13. 13. 10) Dune A dune is a mound of sand.
