  2. 2. Who is Norma Jean Mortensen? <ul><li>Norma Jean Mortensen, also known as Marilyn Monroe was born on June 1 st ,1926. She was a child born into an affair, and her birth destroyed her mothers marriage.   3. 3. Norma Jean becoming Marilyn Monroe.. <ul><li>Norma supposedly got her name from her talent scout Ben Lyon. After he got her first screen test. They picked Marilyn after stage actress Marilyn Miller. Her last name came from her mothers Maiden last name, Monroe.   4. 4. “ The only business is Show business!” <ul><li>Marilyn tried very hard to get into show business, she had to fight her way there. She wanted to be known for not being discovered but making her way to show business. Her modeling business shortly started to boom after David Conover took pictures of women helping the war effort. Her first screen test was scheduled by Ben Lyon, at fox studios in 1946.   6. 6. Marilyn’s Death <ul><li>She died on late evening of August 4 th ,1962 of Acute Barbiturate Poisoning. She supposedly overdosed on the drugs Chloral Hydrate and Nembutal. The two drugs prescribed for Insomnia. Theirs different theories of Marilyn's death, suicide, Self administrated overdose, someone else administrated overdose, or Murder. But they have come to the conclusion that she died of Acute barbiturate Poisoning. There are many theories that Marilyn's death was covered up, for who knows what reason.
