What is E-Rate? The E-Rate program is administered by the Schools and Libraries Division of the USAC. The program ensures all eligible schools and libraries affordable access to telecommunications. E-Rate provides between a 20-90% discount to eligible schools and libraries.
BISD Technology Plan BISD was required to submit a technology plan to begin the E-Rate application process. BISD plan covers 3 years BISD plan is flexible to accommodate future technologies
BISD Goals: Goal 1: Incorporate technology as an integral part of education. Goal 2. Provide staff development for all in the use of appropriate emerging technologies and their integration as a natural part of education. Goal 3: Include technology-based systems when making district or campus instructional and management decisions. Goal 4: The district will secure adequate funding for maintaining state-of-the art technology resources for all BISD facilities.
Assessment The STAR chart is used to assess skill level and directly plan for professional development. Everyone, even the superintendent, attends technology professional development.
