  • 4das4 4das4 Why do you use the term L&D (learning and development) versus WLP (workforce learning and performance) or HPI (human performance improvement) professional? WLP professionals have a professional organization (American Society for Training and Development); HPI professionals have a professional organization (International Society of Performance Improvement)...L&D is a term bandied about that really has no foundation in the learning and development world, but was a term HR professionals coined for use instead of 'training' and therein lies the issue. Let's support what we have out there and support an HPI or an WLP function separate from HR. 2 years ago Reply
