  • 10. What is a CRM System?
    • Candidate Relationship Management
    • ATS = Applicants, CRM = Suspects and Prospects
    • A place to build talent pipelines ahead of demand from the business
    • A place to ENGAGE candidates on an ongoing basis
    • End of CRM process begins Applicant process
  • 11. Req-Less Recruiting ATS hiring model starts with opening a requisition
  • 12. Req-Less Recruiting CRM Model starts with talent regardless of requisition status
  • 13. Req-Less Recruiting
    • Key Advantages
    • Can recruit talent all the time, regardless of requisition(s) status (think interns/students)
    • Does not require talent to work your through your online application process which historically results in VERY low conversion (~5%)
    • Opens up a whole new world of Web 2.0 recruitment advertising opportunities (more on this later)
    • Begin building your own talent asset – your own direct candidate database
  • 14. Portals/Gateways
    • Simply, a portal is a webpage where a candidate fills out a form that creates their record in the CRM database
    • Example: http:// raytheon.avature.net/talentnetwork
    • No search and apply, not requisition based
    • Easy conversion for candidate
    • Capture whatever data you want, customizable by portal
  • 15. Portals/Gateways Applying portals to campus recruiting: Example: https://www.unionbankcareers.com/college_recruitment.html (under Apply Today > click here) 1,100+ students have joined since Nov. 2010 5 new students join on average per day Candidate Advantages Recruiter Advantages Easy to register for UB College Network Easy to build, deploy, and modify as needed Easy to refer others Links directly into Avature CRM to capture student information Can express interest year round Build email campaigns Receive timely and relevant updates when positions are posted, events are announced, etc. Recruiters can manage profiles, add tags, match to jobs, send emails, etc.
  • 16. Portals/Gateways Managing the records in the CRM
  • 17. Web 2.0 Recruitment Advertising QR Codes SMS iPhone Apps Now that you have your portal, the sky’s the limit! Twitter Facebook
  • 18. QR Codes and SMS Students can join your College Network with their phone
  • 19. iPhone Apps BP Early Years Program http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/campus-life/id390476867?mt=8
  • 20. Tweeting
    • Your portal has a URL
    • That URL can be manually modified to add information to the candidates record when they complete the registration process
      • Linked to a talent community
      • Add tags
      • Set the source
    • Example:
    • http://ub.avature.net/collegerecruitment is the portal URL
    • I want to tweet that we are looking for Credit Associates AND I want that information to be captured on the record when people respond to my tweet AND I want to know they came from Twitter
    • I can add ?tag=“credit associates”&tag=twitter to the URL so that the link is now http://ub.avature.net/collegerecruitment?tag =“credit associates”&tag=twitter
    • When the person completes their registration they will also be tagged “credit associate” and twitter
  • 21. Conclusion
    • The CRM enables req-less recruiting
    • Free yourself from the college recruitment cycle
    • Web 2.0 is cool for students – they live with this technology everyday!
    • You’re seen as a great, modern place to work
    • Your competitors are doing it
    • It’s not expensive
    • It provides tremendous value and efficiency into what you already do every day
    • You can prove to your organization that this can work across multiple recruiting segments – military hiring, events, employee referrals, etc.
