  • 8.   Food allergy is an immune system reaction that occurs soon after eating a certain food.  In some people, a food allergy can cause severe symptoms or even a life- threatening reaction known as anaphylaxis.  Some children outgrow their allergy. Year 11C’s Assembly - KCCIS 2012

  • 12.   Atopic Dermatitis (Eczema)   Frequently occurs in young children, can continue to adult life   Rash of eczema occur where a person scratches   Children usually have rashes on scalp, cheeks, chest   Adults often have rashes on skin fold of elbow and behind knee. May also appear on face, cheeks, next.   Rashis red, often flakes of oozes, and has small bumps. There are often excoriations or areas of broken skin from aggressive scratching.
