  • 1. AS Media Evaluation Rebecca Black
  • 2. Question 4• Who would be the audience of your media product?
  • 3. • Before making my magazine I had to think about what my audience would like, dislike and if it would fit in the conventions of a magazine. So now after creating my front cover, contents page and double page spread I thought I would ask people of the age range of my target audience to get some feedback and so after making sure I had was completely happy with the my magazine, I wanted to make sure that what I had created would appeal to my target audience if were to be printed and put into the real world and so I posted a small paragraph explaining what the magazine was and how I wanted people to comment on the magazine to see if they liked it. I then got some feedback saying how much they liked the magazine and that they would buy if it were to be put in the media however I did get a comment about how they thought the contents page looked a little bare compared to the rest of the magazine but in response to this I had tried filling the gap and it made the magazine look over crowded, which messed with the professional layout of the magazine.
  • 4. Question 5• How did you attract/address your audience? To research my target audience and to find outwhat they really want in a media product I decidedto go onto survey monkey and create a little survey. After looking at all the institutional research andthe different magazines I realized the style of text Ineeded to include and use in my magazine for themain article. As it is not just the layout I needed toworry about, it was the actual content in themagazine and then decide what to use to appeal tomy target audience by using mature language.
  • 5. For my magazine the main target audience formy magazine would be young woman howeverfrom using the survey before actually creatingmy magazine this shows that I have a widerrange of an audience and they would actuallybe interested inn what I am going to create.
  • 6. This shows a brief inside view of what people like to listen toand it shows that at least from this list I would have 18.2% ofpeople who has completed this survey that they would atleast be a little bit interested in reading my magazine as thegenre for my magazine is R&B and from this list it shows thatI have niche in the magazine industry for this style of genre.
  • 7. This part of my survey shows that I have amarket for people who listen to my genre alsowould be interested in reading my magazine.
  • 8. This shows that my target audience does read magazinesand my magazine that I have created gets distributed ona monthly bases, which the majority of the people inthis survey actually read magazines once a month sohopefully it will be my magazines that they read everymonth.
