  • 3. 1.History• Saint Patrick was born in Scotland. When he was 16 he was kidnapped by the pirates and he was sold to an Irish druid. After being a prisoner for six years, he dreamed that a ship was waiting in the coast. He went to France. When he came to the coast, people was hungry. St.Patrick prayed to God and many animals walked ahead them and they can satisfy their hunger. When he stayed in Europe, he was named a priest. In Ireland there were snakes. When St. Patrick came to Ireland the snakes disappeared.
  • 4. 2.The Meaning of Shamrocks• The meaning of shamrocks is that the three leaves (Father, Son and Holy Spirit) are one God.
  • 5. 3. Parades• Saint Patrick’s parades are part of a celebration that lasts five days. The biggest parade of Saint Patrick is in New York and it’s attended for more than two million people.
