Aquino signed on February 24, 2011 Executive OrderNo. 26, declaring the implementation of the National Greening Program(NGP) as a government priority that shall plant some 1.5 billion treescovering about 1.5 million hectares for a period of six (6) years from 2011to 2016, in the following lands of the public domain: Forestlands Mangrove and protected areas Ancestral domains Civil and military reservations Urban areas under the greening plans of LGUs Inactive and abandoned mine sites Other suitable lands

  9. 9. • Sites planted by the school have high Findings percent survival students/teachers take care of the planted seedlings.• They were able to establish a nursery project as their counterpart of the planting program initiated by the government;• Extra seedlings for mortality are ready and available;

RecommendationCENRO/NGP Coordinator:• continue to provide the technical assistance and support to ensure sustainability of the program.• help the school develop/establish more area for tree plantation.• Continuous IEC should be undertaken to increase awareness on environment protection and rehabilitation.
