  • 35. Sluffy, nose art Nose art on an A-7D Corsair of the 107 th TFS. The character is Snuffy Smith from the 1940’s comic strip and he’s holding his winning hand, the tail numbers on this aircraft. SLUF was the unofficial nickname for the A-7: Short, Little Ugly Fellow (both aircraft and glasses are history)
