2. 2. What is friction?

Friction is a force that causes the movement between two surfaces to be reduced. Friction happens because most surfaces are not perfectly smooth. Even a table that looks smooth has small bumps.

 3. 3. My experiment

My experiment is I will roll a baseball with the same amount of force on short grass, medium grass, and long grass.

 4. 4. My Data Table 85cm. 79cm. 95cm. 81cm. Long grass 149cm. 139cm. 158cm. 150cm. Med. grass 168cm. 146cm. 177cm. 180cm. Short grass average Trial 3 Trial 2 Trial 1
