  5. 5. 2004 - Purchased a Nelson’s outlet in Sentosa Mall, AlorSetar (RM15k)<br />Expand another outlet in AlorSetar, and another 3 outlets inLangkawi Island.<br />2007 – Opened Nelson’s UUM with new concept <br />(Nelson’s Cafe).<br />Langkawi Outlet has the highest profit.<br />

  7. 7. Datuk Nelson Kwok persuaded and supported <br />Mr. Ooi to start his franchise business.<br />Supports from family to startup his own business.<br />
  8. 8. Gained information from Nelson’s franchisee in Alor Star in the year 2001.<br />Rules of franchise business, capital needed to start a franchise business, how the business operate, and etc.<br />
  9. 9. Used his own savings<br />about<br />RM15,000<br />to purchase Alor Star outlet.<br />
  10. 10. PaidRM12,000franchise fee for 5 years.<br />No royalty fee.<br />

  14. 14. He had a fried noodles stall in Lego before opened Nelson’s in UUM.<br />Attracted by the location.<br />Get the tender with RM2000 rental per month for 3 years contract. <br />

Nelson’s In UUM<br />Opened in year 2007 with 3 years tender contract.<br />Just closed down on September 2010 as contract has expired.<br />The rental fees is RM2000 per month for whole year.<br />Before Nelsons, Marrybrown and Rasa Delight Restaurant have operated in same location.<br />
