  • It's 2012. Why do we keep insisting on portraying generational differentiators (slide 20)? Differentiators are not generational at all -- but are based on other personality attributes.

    Where's the research that supports those differentiators and the explanation about the exceptions to those categorizations? Anyone who bases any decisions on those differentiators deserves the alienation of their clients.

    Several of us discussed this topic in 2008 (esp. since Don Tapscott was speaking at the event). While the distinctions in the categories (columns) may be relevant, the headings for those categories are NOT based on age -- it's a mindset, how you 'see' reality and I would place bets on the fact that those mindsets can change depending on the circumstances (context) we find ourselves in.
