    Student survey was done in Feb 2009
    Specific Goals:
    To increase the number of students and teachers walking and cycling to school by at least 10% by the end of Term 3
    To create a healthy environment by reducing the amount of pollution and road congestion in the community by at least 10% as well

  • 14. Measurable Outcome:
    • The WAC (Walking and Cycling)Team would take another survey at the end of Term 3 to find
    the outcome of our goal.
    • The WAC Team would help to build a secure cycle stand for the people who have taken up
    cycling through sponsors.
    • The Walking Students would measure their laps using pedometers and graph their results.
    • 15. The Health Class would measure the air pollution level before and after the project
    • 16. The Maths class would count the number of vehicles before and after the project and make
    comparative analysis with Enterprise Studies class.
    • Level 1 Geography class would produce the geographical map of the area where the students
    come from.
    • Presentation of the project to Manukau Cluster schools in Term 4 (COMET) for other
    stake holders
    • Presentation to the Fuelled 4 School Regional finals in Term 4 if successful and accepted
    in the Challenge Competition.
    • Putting the presentation on a DVD with news clippings. WAC newspaper by Media and
    English classes. To be published towards the end of 2009.
