  • 2. ORIGIN OF NANOCOMPOSITE
    • Toyota central research labs in Japan teamed up with ube industries ltd, a Japanese resin supplier to produce a new composite polymer, consisting of Nylon-6 interspersed with layers of montmorillonite.
  • 3. IMPORTANCE OF NANO FILLER AND COMPOSITE
    • “ NANO ” Appears to be the catch word today.
    • Why?
    • It has led to new developments of Materials science ,Polymer science ,Electronics and Bio –
    • Engineering, etc.
    • Same materials can be engineered for new properties :dramatic changes can be obtained by reducing the size.

    • Material behave differently in form of Nano-size, Thin Films etc.
    • Size dependency of Electrical and Mechanical ,and Optical Properties.

    • Very high surface area made available.
