  • 2. Get an idea  Think about the story - What happened? - When did it happen? - Who was involved?
  • 3. Plan it out  Take care of the details  Setting: place, time of the day …  Description of the characters – don’t lose track of them!  Describe the action in detail
  • 4. Think out of the box  Don’t repeat the same cliches all over  Be original
  • 5. Think of an exciting first sentence  A sentence which will make your readers want to continue reading
  • 6. Add the horror  You’re trying to scare and disgust your readers. Describe the horror scenes in detail.  A bit of gore is always welcome. (please, not THAT Gore … )
  • 7. End with a bang  leave your readers shivering in a cold sweat with an ending paragraph or line which will keep them looking behind their back for the rest of their lives…
