Come Out Of Shyness Shell "You must love yourself before you love another.By accepting yourself AND fully being what you are,your simple presence can make others happy as well as keep you happy too". Confidence in a person can only be instilled if he has SELF-ESTEEM-If he/she considers himself/ herself of some worth.We can say Self-Worth is the most important ingredient of Self-Esteem which in turn plays an important part in enhancing confidence in a person because honor and respect are the urgent need of human existence or we can say they are borne needs-the more self-esteem you get,the more inspired you are! Getting inspired means YOU ARE POSITIVELY MOTIVATED and if you are positively motivated,your energies are positively channelized which in turn leads to enhancement of your confidence-level. Confidence generates energies to respect ourselves the way we are.Here I do not mean that People indulging in negative acts like criminals etc. should take pride in their work.What I mean is,those not so well gifted naturally SHOULD STOP COMPARING THEMSELVES to their peers and should not come under unnecessary stress ruining their lives and relationships. So we see if we have confidence we will respect ourselves and we respect ourselves we can respect the entire humanity,improve our relationships which can directly or indirectly lead to "achievements-small or big" leading to an increase in our happiness! COME OUT OF YOUR SHYNESS SHELL. I would like to mention here A VERY IMPORTANT THING .Some people are extremely shy but are great achievers but this "shyness" of theirs don't get them their deserved position.The Braggers take away all the credit!Such people sometimes want to come out with their points and make

known their accomplishments to others but the Braggers or we can say the Bullies very cunningly thwart their confidence hogging away all the limelight and appreciation.TO SUCH PEOPLE I WANT TO MAKE A WAKE UP CALL-DON'T LET YOUR CREDITS EATEN BY SOMEONE ELSE.It is high time you realize your worth and very pleasantly speak your mind.I know the shy ones can ask me "HOW?" To them ,my advise is to start their acts among their friend circle or family members because the shy ones are bullied or thwarted everywhere! Or say you can start "A DUMMY CONVERSATION" in front of the mirror first. MARKET YOURSELF Learn to market yourself. In this cut-throat competitive world,learn to make your achievements known.At times some people might laugh at you- disparage you but don't forget "THEY ARE THE JEALOUS ONES" YOU HAVE TO BECOME YOUR OWN ADVERTISING NETWORK AND WHY FEEL SHY ABOUT IT? Aren't Companies big and small, People going in for elections,Educational Institutions and even the Government are propagating their achievements! Take a simple example,how would we come to know which commodity say toothpaste is available and meets our requirements if proper advertisement is not done for it-SAME WAY WE HAVE TO MARKET AND FEND FOR OURSELVES-THE COMPANIES HAVE SOURCES TO ADVERTISE AND WE SHOULD HAVE SELF ESTEEM TO DO SO.However in doing so we must avoid self praise or being OVER- CONFIDENT otherwise there will not be no difference between you and a "bragger".Like low self esteem,over confidence too must be shunned.VANITY AND TOO MUCH PRIDE CAN BE RUINOUS. FEAR OF FAILURE AND LACK OF CONCENTRATION Fear of failure too eats or gnaws away ones confidence.Always fearing of not succeeding leads you nowhere.We should not forget that "FAILURE AND SUCCESS GO HAND IN HAND .If you are once or twice unsuccessful,it doesn't mean that you are worthless.This fear leads to LACK OF CONCENTRATION IN WORK AND STUDIES- THE CONSEQUENCES OF WHICH ARE SOMETIMES GLOOMY AND DANGEROUS.We all are blessed with some quality or other,the only thing required is to harness the "the qualities" embedded in our personalities.We have seen the most

pleasant looking person suffering from low self-esteem AND the not so good looking ones being center of attraction-so IT ALL DEPENDS HOW YOU TREAT YOURSELF AND YOUR PERCEPTION OF LIFE AND UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITIES BUDDING OUT OF IT! EFFORTS AND STEPS TO INCREASE SELF-CONFIDENCE. Here I would like to present few points which can help people from all walks of society,age group and stream to gain confidence to give requisite lift to their spirits. 1.Have faith in yourself. 2.Respect and Accept yourself as you are. 3Hone and Polish your skills. 4.Let not fear of failure deter you from your aim.If you fail,then you are made for "other things in life" 5.Enhancing Personality is an on going process-learn from every little incidents. 6.Be well informed.Read well. 7.Never underestimate yourself.If you have achieved anything,let the world know.Do this pleasantly. 8.Don't keep to your shell.Try making friends.

9.Socialize. But in a limit. 10.Be positive and humane but at the same tome safeguard your own interests too. 11.Fix your priorities in life.Don't be disparaged or insulted uselessly as some people derive pleasure while doing so. 12.THE MOST IMPORTANT IS LIFE IS ALWAYS NOT THE WAY WE DESIRE OR WANT.DO NOT LET NEGATIVE SITUATIONS MARR YOUR SELF ESTEEM. rashmi.
