They say less is more. Tell that to African people, they know all about it. Non-profit organisations struggle with the same statement, they need good-looking, effective websites.
Can they afford it? Of course yes! We'll show you how eventually Africa and Joomla! can come up with sites that are as good and even better than the European websites...
We will be looking at African websites and Belgian based websites. These all have high traffic (600GB per month for one), user interaction, plenty of customization both design and template, several languages and lots of articles. We will cover the following in the presentation: Communication challenges, Client wants vs Client needs, Challenges of the technical elements added to the site, Why these organisations use open source systems, Why we have chosen to use Joomla as a Tools for developing websites, What we would like to see for the future of Joomla.
And of course some images so you can see the examples of what we have worked with...
