  • 2. Your capital and largest city is Denver.The state of Colorado limited to the state Wyoming,Kansas,Oklahoma,New Mexico and Utah.With 270 thousand square kilometers ,is the eighth largest U.S. state

  • 5. Geographic The state of Colorado is divided in four geographic regions:the colorado plateu,the rockies,great plains and intermontanhar bowl.
  • 6. Climate The climate of Colorado is varied, due to its very rough terrain,higher temperatures are recorded in the extreme southwest and Great Plains. Meanwhile, the Rockies recorded the lowest average temperatures of Colorado.
  • 7. economy Agriculture and livestock together account for 1% of GDP, employing about 78 thousand people. Colorado has about 29,000 farms - popularly called ranches which cover about 60% of the state. The main products of the agricultural industry of Colorado are meat and bovine milk, straw, wheat, corn and apples.
  • 8. Tourism Created a fertile ground for the creation of several ski resorts - like Aspen internationally known. These resorts attract millions of tourists a year, and make tourism a major source of state income.
  • 9. Races and ethnicities • Racial composition of the population of Colorado: • 74.5% - Caucasian • 17.1% - Hispanic • 3.4% - african-american • 2.2% - Asian • 1% - Native American • 1.4% - two or more races

  • 11. Transport Colorado is one of the main transport hubs in the United States. Denver is the largest transportation hub in the state, one of the most important road and airport hubs in the country.
