    • TO USE DISK CLEANUP:• Once the bar is finished you will have several types of fileslisted from temporary internet files to your Recycle Bin. Allthese files are safe to delete, so feel free to put checks inall the boxes.• Go to Start• In the Search box type in “Disk Cleanup” and press Enter. A windowwill come up with a processing bar.
    • DISK CLEAN UP• Once youve put checks inall the boxes of files youwant to delete click on“OK”• A window will pop upasking you if you are sureyou want to delete the files.Click “Delete Files.”
    • DEFRAGMENTNow we need to take care of your fragmented files. Todo that, follow these steps:
    • DEFRAGMENT• Go to Start• In the Search boxtype in “DiskDefragmenter” andpress EnterSelect your C: drive and choose to defragment drive. This process cantake hours if you dont do it on a regular basis, so its best to do thisright before bed and let it run while you sleep.
    • DRIVER ERRORS CAN CAUSE SLOWCOMPUTERIf your drivers are corrupt or out of date is can slow downyour computer. Drivers control how your Windows andhardware talk to each other, so if your drivers arent workingright Windows may take extra time to do common functions. The fix for this is to update your drivers to the latest drivers.
    • AUTOMATED FIXYou can do it manually, which is a time consumingprocess, or you can do it the easy way with driverupdate software. This software will find which of yourdrivers are out of date, go to the manufacturers website, download the drivers for you, and then install thedrivers for you. All with a few click of the mouse. Theprocess only takes a couple minutes. So update yourdrivers now and stop a slow running computer in itstracks.
