THE SURVEY WAS ELECTRONICALLY SENDBETWEEN NOV 5-9, 2012. THE SURVEY INCLUDED QUESTIONS ON CURRENT EMPLOYMENT STATUS, JOB SEARCHBEHAVIOUR AND PREFERENCES AND THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS TO FIND JOB OPPORTUNITIES .OF THE 6,740 MEMBERS OF THE WORKFORCE,AND 85% ALSO HAD AT LEAST ONE SOCIAL NETWORK PROFILE. 265 WERE CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BUT NOT OPENTO A NEW JOB.RESPONDENTS FOR THIS SURVEY WERE RANDOMLY SELECTED FROM SHINE.COM DATABASE AND MYPARICHAYNETWORK, AND HAD EXPRESSED PRIOR CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE IN ONLINE SURVEYS SUCH AS THIS.DEFINITIONSWORKFORCE: ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE LABOR MARKET: CURRENTLY EMPLOYED + UNEMPLOYED ANDLOOKINGJOB SEEKER: ALL THOSE ACTIVELY SEEKING WORK OR OPEN TO A NEW JOB, BOTH CURRENTLY EMPLOYED ANDUNEMPLOYED 2
