  • 2. METHODOLOGYCENTER FOR TALENT RESEARCH, ON BEHALF OF MYPARICHAY, CONDUCTED A NATIONWIDEONLINE OMNIBUS SURVEY OF 6,740 ADULTS WHO ARE PART OF THE INDIAN WORKFORCE. THESURVEY WAS ELECTRONICALLY SENT BETWEEN NOV 5-9, 2012. THE SURVEY INCLUDEDQUESTIONS ON CURRENT EMPLOYMENT STATUS, JOB SEARCH BEHAVIOUR AND PREFERENCESAND THE USE OF SOCIAL NETWORKS TO FIND JOB OPPORTUNITIES .OF THE 6,740 MEMBERS OF THE WORKFORCE, 85% HAD AT LEAST ONE SOCIAL NETWORKPROFILE AND 265 WERE CURRENTLY EMPLOYED BUT NOT OPEN TO A NEW JOB.RESPONDENTS FOR THIS SURVEY WERE RANDOMLY SELECTED FROM SHINE.COM DATABASEAND MYPARICHAY NETWORK. PRIOR CONSENT TO PARTICIPATE IN ONLINE SURVEYS SUCH ASTHIS WAS SOUGHT FROM THE RESPONDENTS.DEFINITIONSWORKFORCE: ALL PARTICIPANTS IN THE LABOR MARKET: CURRENTLY EMPLOYED +UNEMPLOYED AND LOOKINGJOB SEEKER: ALL THOSE ACTIVELY SEEKING WORK OR OPEN TO A NEW JOB, BOTHCURRENTLY EMPLOYED AND UNEMPLOYED 2
