You can be a transmedia experience.
Two types of “Personal Brands” 1.) Personal Brand 2.) Career Brand http://www.web-strategist.com/blog/2010/06/03/personal-vs-career-brands-its-all-in-the-mindset/ Jeremiah Owyang
Understand how your friends, family and work colleagues perceive you. Step #1
What does Google say about you? Step #2
Step #3 Define your objectives. What personal traits are your strongest, noteworthy? What makes you distinctive, distinguished? Is there anything that makes you remarkable in any way? Come to grips with who you are NOT.
Get to work and make a plan with how you can achieve those objectives. Step #4
Tip: Share right (don’t brag, be helpful) and share often. The act of sharing and sharing is a fundamental building block of Personal Branding. Follow the 4:1 rule.
“The 4:1 Rule” If you build it, they won’t come. Follow the 4:1 Rule For every ONE social object (piece of content) that is about you, there needs to be FOUR social objects that are: informative inspirational entertaining engaging re(markable) promote others
More Tips: Create a homebase online (blog, website, even a Facebook page). “No one reads all your Tweets. Get over yourself.” Establish your email network. Use email tools like Vertical Response. Use consistent unique usernames. Interlink everything together. “Consistency facilitates recognition.”
