A survey was conducted with 41 total respondents, of which 36 participated online and 5 participated offline. The online survey covered 7 different places. The document then outlines a 3 step process for creating a household budget: 1) determining household needs such as rent, utilities, and debt payments, 2) discussing individual needs and wants, and 3) setting up the budget and jointly tracking spending.

 Second, once they have determined your household
needs, you can begin to talk about individual needs
and wants.
 Third, once they have set up there budget they both
need to take part in tracking there spending.
