    Excellent work! Like that you identified someone like Kimberly Snyder. Have you commented on her blog and responded to her tweets yet?

    You mention nutristionists network group but don’t then identify it as a channel? You can definitely expand and customize your channels. Lots of lifestyle Ning networks and LinkedIn groups where you can syndicate your content to.

    Great SWOT! taking both externalities and you into context.

    Great links out - entertaining and informative.

    Nutrition-ista - solid positioning.

    Key messaging can improve but you are solidly on track.

  2. ABOUT ME
    My name is Raya Alsaigh I am currently enrolled at Humber College for the Public Relations certificate program. I have a BA in mass communications and sociology. After completing my degree, I got a diploma in holistic nutrition. That led me to get into and work with the nutrition and wellness industry. The experiences I had throughout my years before attending Humber College led me to realize how perfect Public Relations is for me. I am creative, opinionated, motivated and hardworking. I love the comfort of all things old and predictable, yet look forward to exploring and tackling all that is new.
  3. I believe ‘the world’s my oyster;’ everything’s worth discovering.
    I love travelling; cultures are enticing.
    Reading; getting lost in another world is tempting.
    Fashion; dress-up’s never boring, and
    Nutrition because your body IS your temple!
  4. GOALS
    The goals for my online brand is to bring out my background as well as my various life experiences with a focus on nutrition.
    I am a firm believer that overall health starts with good nutrition. I feel compelled to share my knowledge and experiences with others and hope to inspire readers to become health conscious.

    - I value: positive thinking, honesty, art, culture & the body
    - Part of the Nutritionist’s Networking Group; connects me
    to various nutritionists, health Guru’s, speakers & writers
    W - I’m horrible with numbers; Math is the enemy!
    - I’m passive by nature; can cause others to take advantage
    of my easy-goingness
    - I worry when I’m not in control this can cause stress &
    can make group work an obstacle
  7. SWOT
    O - Social media has taken over the world! Learning various social media applications will help my career & brand.
    - Few people in the nutrition field are social media friendly; I’m already ahead!
    - PR is growing in Toronto, Humber helps us to stay current through volunteer positions, new courses & providing an array of mentors .
    - With so many conflicting views on health, wellness & medicine, there’s a need for honest, unbiased information; welcome ‘Diary of a Nutritionista.’
    T - Many RHN’s compete for public attention against one another and against dieticians.
    - RHN’s work with herbs, vitamins, minerals & food as opposed to medicine this is considered unknown territory for doctors and majority of the public; this creates fear and questions information given by RHN’s.
  8. STRATEGY
    Rational: Providing unbiased nutritional information in an honest, creative and fun way to all people interested.
    Audience: Active professionals looking for a guide to quick, easy, creative and simple nutrition.
    How:
    • Develop an online presence that uses various social media applications to get my nutritional information and tips across.
    • Create weekly or bi-weekly blogs on current nutritional issues.
    • Create weekly or bi-weekly quick facts for those ‘on the run.’
    • Use various social media applications to bring light to my online presence.
    • I’d love to be the next Kimberly Snyder!
  9. CHANNELS/TACTICS
    Ning: Network online; allows for a Humber connection.
    Twitter: To connect to other PR professionals, along with health, wellness & nutrition individuals & experts. ‘Tweeting’ and replying to ‘Tweets.’
    LinkedIn: Create a professional profile. Connect and network to various people.
    Facebook: Make my online brand known to those within my current Facebook network.
    Blogging: Creating my blog and commenting, linking & connecting to those who are respected in the field and participate in a dialogue with them.
