The first way… the car dealer focuses on the features, tools and technologies for pushing his messages, promotions and inventory into the social media space.

These dealers usually fail to understand the behaviors, locations and relationship etiquette of their own customers online. As a result, they miss the mark for maximizing their business benefits from social media marketing activities…

The second type of car dealer scans the seascape (social web), learns to understand the fish (customers) they’re trying to reach and the unspoken rules of etiquette and relationships within their communities …

As a result, this second group of car dealers are more successful in connecting with customers… and catching the big fish! The biggest fish are the customers who choose to do business with these dealers because of relationship, more than price…
