  3. 3. Western Europe <ul><li>They could not understand what the word ‘ Shortage ’ meant as no one there had ever experienced a shortage of anything. </li></ul><ul><li>“ Please give your honest opinion on the shortage of food in the rest of the world and suggest solutions.” </li></ul>
  4. 4. Eastern Europe <ul><li>They could not understand what was meant by the word ' opinion '. Having been under a socialist rule for years, no one there had ever volunteered an opinion </li></ul><ul><li>“ Please give your honest opinion on the shortage of food in the rest of the world and suggest solutions.” </li></ul>
  5. 5. Middle East <ul><li>They could not understand what was meant by 'solution', for obvious reasons. </li></ul><ul><li>“ Please give your honest opinion on the shortage of food in the rest of the world and suggest solutions .” </li></ul>
  6. 6. Africa <ul><li>They could not understand the meaning of the word ‘ food ’ </li></ul><ul><li>“ Please give your honest opinion on the shortage of food in the rest of the world and suggest solutions.” </li></ul>
