  • 1. This book deals with the foreign capital budgeting and foreign directinvestment (FDI) in Bangladesh. Capital budgeting is a budget for majorcapital, investment or expenditures. FDI inflows have increased rapidly inthe last two decades in the world. Many countries are developing theireconomies by considering FDI as an important catalyst for economicdevelopment. United Nations Industrial Development Organization’s(UNIDO) own analyses of industrial organization, and the determinants ofcompetitive industrial performance, identifies FDI as a key driver of acountry’s capacity to trade. Bangladesh as a developing country must needFDI to enhance the economic progress. The book shows the advantages tothe foreign investors to invest for long-term and safely in Bangladesh. Mostof the foreign investors do not know about the business environment ofBangladesh and this book tries to give a clear idea to them about thebenefits of investment in Bangladesh.
