  • 3.  Very useful for efficiently surveilling a large area for many reasons: ◦ Battlefield intelligence ◦ Searching for minerals ◦ Border control ◦ Bush fire ◦ Search and rescue ◦ Police work ◦ Environment and biological sensing 3
  • 4.  Objective - to develop a UAV system that can be used for missions that are too dull, dirty or dangerous for manned aircraft The system will essentially be a distributed fleet of UAV’s that interact with each other ◦ Also known as a MultiAgent system ◦ Each UAV has a specific task that contributes to the mission goal 4

Damage to UAV during testing and development5. Safety of employees – follow CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) operation, airworthiness and regulation policies6.
