  • Process Industries Divissions The mission of the Process Industries Division is to provide a major engineering focus for all its members as well as other national and international bodies concerned with mechanical engineering within the process industry. Membership The division is one of eight engineering divisions of the Institution, and has over 17,000 members. Click here to see the Process Industries Division Board structure. The Process Industries Division focuses on six main areas Each area is represented by Technical Activity Committees which meet three times a year. Bulk Materials Handling Food Engineering Offshore Engineering Oil, Gas and Chemical Pharmaceuticals Water and Wastewater Industry Committee The purpose of the Technical Activity Committees is to: Liaise with internal Divisions and Groups, Regions and external bodies to provide the Institution's focus within their field Promote best practise Provide a forum for the dissemination of information through events and publications Support Institution members in their activities Promote education and training and continuing professional development and seek opportunities to provide the Institution's opinion on relevant topics Regional centres in the West and North West of England North West Centre Humberside Centre If you want to know more about the Division, please email process@imeche.org.
