B-HCG? It was negative, you want to rule out ectopic as cause of hemmoperitoneum in young female patinet Pt went for lap where they found 1600 cc of blood and clot in the abdomen and pelvis. They cauterized a superficial left ovarian vessel which was bleeding. They thought there might be a ruptured cyst on the left. Right ovary and uterus were normal. Hemmoperitoneum in young women likely related to ruptured ectopic or cyst rupture. I have seen a number of cases with large volume of hemorrhagic fluid in the abdomen. A few cases have even presented with RUQ pain and acites on ultrasound.
