  8. 8.  The first headquarter of da’wah  The house of Al-Arqam ibn Abil-Arqam  Why the house of Abil Arqam?  Not known to be the close companions Prophet  To young to attract Quraysh attention  From bani Makzum, unlikely to embrace Islam  His house is isolated from the rest of houses in Mecca (beyond the Safa)
  9. 9.  Quraysh knew about this movement but do not pay much attention initially  Some people making claim against their idols in the past  Akin to Qass ibn Sa’edah, Zaid ibn Amr ibn Nufail etc.  No prosecution at this period  Quraysh was alarmed with the message  It treaten their way of life and social order  Followers across family and social status in Quraysh  They adhere to the teaching and leadership of Prophet
