Priority I: CommunicationPD Opportunities• 2013-14 IHE Institutes – 2 one day institutes (eastern NC/western NC) – request input of ‘12-’13 participants & SOE deans regarding dates and topics of interest via electronic survey – Partnering with RESAs to schedule regional IHE specific sessions per year

  8. 8. Priority II: Program ApprovalRevisioning updates• Program Approval Letters – corrected letters have been mailed• Blueprints for new programs will be presented to SBE twice a year (Dec – Jan & Jun – Jul). Notify Rachel McBroom via email if your campus plans to submit BPs for new programs.
  9. 9. Priority II: Program ApprovalRevisioning updates• Changes to Approved Blueprints – Campuses can make changes to currently approved electronic evidences without notifying DPI. Document the changes and why the changes were made. Contact Rachel McBroom to discuss the process if your campus plans to implement entirely new evidences.

Priority II: Program ApprovalRevisioning updates• Technical Assistance Workgroup for Superintendent Licensure Revisioning presented recommendations to DPI in January – BP’s to DPI by Feb 2014 for review – SBE approval Summer 2014 – Implementation Fall 2015• DPI will present recommendations to SBE in April/May (tentatively)
  11. 11. Priority II: Program ApprovalElectronic Evidence Review• Recommendation to Postpone 2013 Summer Electronic Evidence Reviews for Elementary Ed & MSA – Thoughts, comments, discussion
  12. 12. Priority II: Program ApprovalContinued Program Approval Process• There will be a statewide meeting later this spring for all IHEs to provide input into what the continuing program approval process should entail. – 2 participants per IHE; invitation will be sent to SOE Deans/Chairs

  14. 14. Priority III: Reporting• RttT IHE Report Cards anticipated publication no later than Feb. 28th – NCEES data has been recalculated using rosters verified by the IHEs• Each campus will be provided NCEES data disaggregated by licensure area via secure server
