  • 5. Threshold Guardian “to test” • The Hero must bypass the obstacles using any method available: ignoring, overcoming, outwitting, appeasing, or befriending • Threshold Guardians may be characters, a locked door or secret vault, an animal, or a force of nature such as a tornado
