  • Kowhai’s Travel Decision Written and Illustrated By Room 9 Nelson Central School
  • Written and Illustrated By Room 9 Nelson Central School
  • It was time to go to school. Mum called Kowhai to hop in the car. But Kowhai didn’t want to go to school by car; she did that everyday!
  • The other children in her class certainly got to school in more exciting ways.
  • Pete and Pania piggy-back their way, and make a great, fun start to their day.
  • Sally and Simon strut to school, on their silly stilts; don’t they look cool?
  • Carol and Coral cartwheel their way; turning and yearning to do lots of learning.
  • Parachuting down come Pita and Paula; getting to school can be a lot cooler.
  • Flapping their wings like a bird, Belle and Bailey fly ahead of the school herd.
  • Sarah, Scott and Steve skip happily to class. Safely they ensure they’re only on the grass.
  • Just like Tarzan, Tayla and Tania swing from tree to tree, being careful they don’t hurt their knees...
  • Brian and Ben bounce along, their springy shoes go “bong, bong, bong!”
  • Daniel and Dylan dig their way through the ground, getting to school actively and without a sound.
  • Sid and Sam swim deep into the sea, wet and refreshed they arrive... whoopee!
  • Silent and still Kowhai thinks of a way to keep fit, and to get to school safely and in one bit.
  • Putting on her helmet, Kowhai did decide, that to take a good ride on her trusty bike was just what she liked.
