"Preparing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today"
A program for selected Fayette County high school juniors to promote essential leadership qualities while providing first hand experiences in the business, government, and tourism sectors of Fayette County, West Virginia. Each year, twelve students are selected by application and interview to participate in the ten session program throughout the school year. Those who successfully complete the curriculum are awarded a $500 college scholarship to the school/training of their choice. In 2011 the program expanded to offer select sessions to all students who completed the application and interview process. Our goal is to provide Fayette County youth with the information and tools needed to enable them to make the choice to return to Fayette County to Live, Learn, Work and Play upon completion of their higher education. Scholarships are made possible by donations from the local business community through the 501c3 Fayette County Education Fund, Inc.
