      • Electric ovens are very simple with no fan bake ovens.
      • They used Hand held egg beaters because there was no Electrical Appliances
      • No microwaves
      • There were Pressure cookers that cooked food on the stove, under pressure/steam
      • Enamel pots and aluminium pots for cooking.
      • Always wore white aprons and white hats at the manual training centre (Now called the Eltham Technology centre)
      • They made plum Jam, Scones, Soup using beef bones and Vegetables.
