      • Muslims believe Jesus was a Prophet
    • Core Beliefs
      The five pillars are the main belief of Islam
      The First pillar is Shahadah – Proclaiming the oneness of God and Faith of Islam
      The Second pillar is Salat– Praying five times a day towards Mecca
      The Third pillar is Zakat- Looking after other people (the Poor and Sick)
      The Fourth pillar is Sawm – To Fast
      The Fifth is Hajj –To make the trip to Mecca
    • Holy Writings
      The Karan is the main Holy Book of Islam
      The Haddith is the words of Muhammad
      The Sufi is not a part of the faith but a mystical story
    • Symbols and Objects
      • A Mennonite is the tower on the left. It is the place a person would call all Muslams to
      come and pray.
      • The center object is called the Kabala it is where the sacred stone was thought to be dropped
      by Allah (God in Arabic) down to earth.
      • The far right object is the crescent. It represents the light God shines in the star to guide.
    • Holy Places and Places of Worship
      • Families can pray in their own home or Mosque.
      • The Mosque in Mecca can hold over 4 million people for the Hajj
      • People can also worship in their own local Mosque
    • Rituals and Rights of Passage
      A Muslim funeral
      A Right of Passage is when a Muslim takes the right of passage to Mecca and makes the Hajj
      When a Muslim baby is born the first words it hears is Allah Akbar which means God is Great.
    • Celebrations and Holidays
      • The Muslim faith has many holidays and celebrations.
      • EidulFitr is when the month of Ramadan has ended
      • The month of Ramadan is when you fast from sunrise to sunset
