  • 1. Q u i n c e y N i x o n New York City, New York qnixon@nyc.rr.com 03 25 15 Experience – Hospitality + Leisure + Residential I have over 20 years of experience in architecture, interiors and design. My expertise ranges from modern and contemporary to classical and historic across hospitality, leisure and residential projects. The latest 15 years of my career has been at senior level roles as Associate, Senior Architect, Senior Designer and Project Manager encompassing 12 years of hospitality design experience. I have led, designed and managed architecture and interior projects of various sizes, types and scope from inception through completion of construction. Most recently, I led as project architect on various design and architecture projects, including the interior renovation and alteration of an existing c.1910 300 room hotel into a new boutique brand and design through construction of a private residential waterfront compound. At Stonehill & Taylor Architects, I led the NYLO New York Loft Hotel project developing and setting the stage for the interior architecture, millwork and finishes that served to provide inspiration for the establishment’s new brand identity in New York evoking historical social style and ambiance that is both industrial and refined. At Hottenroth+Joseph Architects, I led the design team for the Jacobs Mentre Residence incorporating both modern and understated elements of style for a budget conscious client. At Stonehill & Taylor Architects, Hottenroth+Joseph Architects and Alexandra Champalimaud Interiors, I served as project lead on various hospitality, residential and leisure projects including hotels, restaurants and private homes. Additionally, I have significant experience in multi-residential, resort planning studies, academic and institutional architecture ranging from renovations and refurbishments to restorations and interiors with Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Hart Howerton Architects and Perkins Eastman Architects. Over the years, I have built a trusted network of resources, contacts, contractors, builders and vendors that I continue to leverage on a daily basis. My various roles and experiences in architecture and design have resulted in an execution-oriented skill set with a holistic perspective on creative designs and solutions, thoughtful presentations, programming, technical detailing, construction management, cost estimating, budgeting, negotiations and post construction / occupancy follow-through. As project leader and manager, I liaise frequently with firm partners, clients, consultants, contractors, vendors and direct cross-functional teams to see projects from concept to completion. It is that indescribable feeling I get when a vision becomes something tangible; this is why I do what I do. While I highlight my work experience, it is important for you to know that I am highly committed to the obligation of architects, designers and managers to create environments that are both enhancing and responsive to the human experience. We must also be self-aware, understanding the implications that design has on society, culture and the built environment. My passion for architecture, design and travel coupled with an eye for detail and a charismatic “get things done” attitude provides the right confluence of talents that are critical for this role. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you further about this opportunity. A portfolio of my work can be viewed online at http://www.slideshare.net/quinceynixon, please see QEN Portfolio Hospitality+Leisure. Sincerely, Quincey Nixon
